What is your class size?
- Pre K: 20-22 students with one teacher and one full-time teacher's aid
- Kindergarten – 8th Grade: 20-25 students
Do your students wear uniforms?
Yes, Pre -Kindergarten and Kindergarten students wear the gym uniforms. The students in grades 1 through 8 wear the school uniforms. Families can use the uniform exchange program or purchase new uniforms at Flynn & O'Hare.
Is there busing provided for the children?
Yes, busing is provided for all students living in Bucks County. The bus schedule will be sent from your student’s home school district prior to the first day of school.
Busing is NOT available for the Pre-Kindergarten student and families living in Philadelphia.
Do children need to bring lunch?
All PreK students must bring a snack and lunch daily.
We offer a three day hot lunch program through Boonli for students in K to grade 8. Parents must order online. Two day a week students must bring a lunch.
Is tuition assistance available?
Tuition assistance is available to any family who meets the eligibility requirements set through EITC program. All families must apply on FACTS to see if you qualify for the EITC money. The monies distributed through school use these criteria. We are blessed to have tuition assistance funds through BLOCS, The Henkels Foundation, Bridge Education Foundation and the Foundation for Catholic Education .To apply, please use the Tuition Assistance link under the tab "Admissions" on the homepage of the school website.
Does Saint Ephrem provide before or after school care?
Yes, our CARES program (Children Are Receiving Extended Care) is available each day from 6:30 – 7:35 a.m. and from 3 – 6 p.m. Students must be registered for CARES prior to attending. Parents sign up for the days children will attend CARES.
In the morning, students should be prepared to enjoy a good book or some quiet games. Students may bring breakfast foods to eat before 7:40 a.m.
After school children will have some quiet time for homework or reading, and they will have some play time, outdoors, weather permitting.

What is your curriculum?
Our curriculum is based on the curriculum set forth by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
How do parents get involved?
Parents can be involved in the school in many ways. We invite parents to visit school to assist in the classroom, the cafeteria, or in school wide activities.
Each classroom has a homeroom parent to assist the teacher in preparing parties and special activities. Parents are asked to provide for the needs of the party. Sometimes help is needed at the party.Parents can volunteer in the library, in the Home & School group, and with fundraising and other social and volunteer events.
All volunteers are required to have a complete set of clearances on file. Clearance requirements can be found on the Safe Environment page.
Do you have fundraising at the school?
Student participate in fundraiser and donate the money to local missions. Parent may participate in any Home and School fundraising.
What is SCRIP?
To help defray the cost of tuition St. Ephrem Parish runs a SCRIP program. The SCRIP program offers the sale of gift cards to local stores. The cards are used dollar for dollar like money. In addition to the face value of the card, you also share the donated part from the company (from 1.5% for Wawa to 13% for Bath & Body Works). 50% of the donated portion is allocated to the purchaser is applied to your tuition for the following school year.
